About Us
We are a brand-new Jazz Collective from the Netherlands, playing the music of Django Reinhardt.Regarded as Europe’s earliest jazz tradition, the genre of 'Gipsy Jazz' emerged with Django Reinhardt in the cafés and dance halls of 1930s Paris, where European musical traditions blended with the American hot jazz.With its driving rhythms, expressive melodies and joyful improvisation, the Lyrebirds bring this music to life, creating a warm and uplifting atmosphere wherever its played!Have a look below at all the amazing musicians that are a part of our collective!
Our Set-Up
We are a collective, a 'community' of musicians.This means the set-up is catered to your preferences, occassion and venue!It could for example be an intimate duo, a trio, quartet, quintet, etc. Just get in touch, and we'll think about the best possible set-up together.
